The original cast of Dawson’s Creek is reuniting for the first time in 22 years in a special one-night-only charity event to support James Van Der Beek, who was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in 2024.
Scheduled for September 22, 2025, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City, the event will feature the original stars—James Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Busy Philipps, among others—performing a live reading of the series’ pilot episode in aid of F Cancer, raising both awareness of early cancer detection and support for their friend James.
Directed by former series director Jason Moore and co-produced by Kevin Williamson, Michelle Williams, Greg Berlanti, Thomas Kail, and other key figures, the event is poised to be a heartfelt reunion and a statement of solidarity. Tickets will be on sale from August 22 via Broadway Direct.
Creator Kevin Williamson remarked: “Dawson’s Creek changed my life. It created an enduring fandom and legacy all over the world.” Michelle Williams added: “We grew up in Capeside… we always have been and we always will be.”
